When people ask about the vision of Grace Hills’ leadership, we always like to clarify the difference between some terms.
- Our mission comes straight from Jesus – it’s to gather a community of people who are coming to know Jesus and serving others for the glory of God. The mission never changes.
- Our values are the guiding principles that help us form a strategy for accomplishing ministry.
- Our strategy is what changes fairly often, sometimes weekly, and describes how we hope to accomplish the mission.
- And vision is a picture of what the future could look like if we pursue the mission with the right strategy.
So here’s a picture of what we see as the future of Grace Hills…
Grace Hills’ vision is to be a 1st century church in the 21st century. We want to have clearly defined doctrine and strong teaching with an emphasis on applying the Bible for real life change. We will gather on the weekends for an awe-inspiring corporate worship experience including music that encourages and raises our energy, and then scatter to do life together in small groups, which we call Grace Groups.
Grace Hills’ vision is to develop disciples through a purpose driven process. We will make the gospel clear and easy-to-understand to seekers and emphasize baptism as the primary public profession of faith in Christ. We will walk with people through a commitment to membership in the body, to develop the habits of spiritual maturity, to discover and apply their shape for ministry, and to be deployed on mission in their world.
Grace Hills’ vision is to put down roots in northwest Arkansas. We will utilize the theater until we have maxed out its capabilities at approximately 350 in weekend attendance. We will begin setting aside $3k per month and grow that figure toward our future location. We will secure a facility to lease of at least 10,000 square feet and remodel it for $225k up front cost and spend $8k per month to lease and maintain it. We will also search for property to own as our permanent “home base.”
Grace Hills’ vision is to develop an awesome Kids Ministry in northwest Arkansas. We will feature awesome teaching and worship at kid-level. We will lead kids to know Jesus, to be baptized, and to become members of God’s family. We will help kids develop the habits of spiritual maturity and to connect with other kids in small groups. We will empower kids to serve and lead in ministry today and to see their role in and join God’s mission in the world. And we will partner with parents and families of all shapes and sizes for cross-generational influence.
Grace Hills’ vision is to offer healing to the hurting and recovery to the broken. We will do this through a robust lay counseling ministry, a recovery ministry that provides groups and safe places for people to work through their hurts, habits, and hang-ups. We will see our entire church from the staff outward as in recovery. We will keep things real, celebrate authenticity, and run toward messes.
Grace Hills’ vision is to pursue the fulfillment of the Great Commission. We will carry out the mission locally by acting on the issues facing our community and multiplying small groups, venues, and campuses in northwest Arkansas. We will multiply as a church and sponsor other multiplying church plants early and often, aggressively pursuing the vision of planting dozens of daughter churches in our first decade. We will partner with missionaries around the world to take the gospel to new places and people groups.
