Weekend Review!
In our PRESCHOOL room this week we learned about Gideon’s Battle. When the Israelites, God’s people, lost all their food rather then kicking and screaming they ask God for help! God heard their prayers and chose Gideon to help them but Gideon knew that he could not help them on his own to he once again prayed and ask God for help and God heard his prayers. We are so grateful that God hears our prayers, this week our promise that we learned is:
God promises – hold your hands like a book
To hear – hands beside your ears
Our prayers – fold hands in front of you as praying
After we all learned the motions to our promise we spent time allowing everyone to pray and thank God for hearing our prayers. We encourage you to practice this promise with your kids this week and to apply it to their lives. We also discussed through a games the different times that we should pray. When we are sad, mad, happy really we should pray in all situations so this week we challenge you to find those moments and practice praying with your children with they are frustrated, when they are happy, and when they are sad.
In our KIDS worship we talked about mission possible!
We hope that every child that was there Sunday left knowing that they can bodily tell the world about Jesus! This was our last week to practice our memory verse for this section
I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. Romans 1:16
We began this week by getting our hearts in the right place with some worship time. In our small groups this week we set up a loooong domino line, one person touches a domino and then they all fall down! We have all seen this happen, but this time we compared it to us, one action in the right direction can have such a far reaching effect. It all starts with us sharing the Gospel with those near to us, our family, friends, and neighbors. We never know how far the impact will spread, but it takes confidence in God.
We pray that this week God gives great confidence to your children and they will stand firm and also bodily share their faith with others.
If you haven’t already heard starting December 1st we are launching a separate ministry for our 5&6 graders. Cinema 56 will meet on Sunday mornings during the worship time. We are so excited to be able to start this new ministry. We could not do it without the volunteers. Thank you so much to those who have already signed up to lead in this ministry. If you have a desire to work with this age please contact me, meredith@gracehillschurch.com, I would love to talk more with you about it.
