Weekend Review!
If you have a preschooler you should now have a lion puppet living at your house! Hopefully your lion looks similar to this one below. Some maybe a bit scarier and some may lack an eyes or a nose, but all the same they are lions, and all lions are scary!
We did indeed make lion puppets, hopefully when your lion opens its mouth to talk it says “God promises to help me.” This week our Bible Story if you have not already guessed was about Daniel and the Lions so we made a lion to remind us that just like Daniel when he was thrown into the lions den that God promises to help us! We know that God helped Daniel and protected him from the lions in the den. God loves you and wants to help you too! Remind your children this week about God’s love and protection for them. Our memory verse this week is still:
“The Lord” – point up
“always keeps” – bring arms out, around, making a circle
“His promises” -make a book with your hands
Psalms 145:13
Practice our verse with your kids this week!
In our KIDZ world we had a wonderful week hanging out with your kiddos! This week we learned about how communion helps us to remember what Jesus did for us. When we take communion we are remembering the sacrifice that Jesus gave to us on the cross. We want to be reminded of this because of how important it is to not only our salvation but to how we should live our lives. The drink and the bread are representative of God’s blood and His body that was shed for us. This week with your kids remind them of things that we want to remember Jesus for:
His coming
His sinless life
His wounds for our sins
His death
His resurrection
Our memory verse is the same for the last time this week, review it once again with your children this week!
Give praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In His great mercy He has given us a new birth and a hope that is alive. It is alive because Jesus Christ rose from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3
Even though this is a long verse to memorize the kids have done so WONDERFUL! I have personally heard majority of them able to recite it without any clues. This week we are praying that what we talked about Sunday continues to sink in with your children. Pray with your children about remembering what Jesus has done for us this week!
Thank you so much to our leaders this week Brittany Moore and Shannon Stocks in preschool and Sandi and Jeff Ashcrafts and Cory Stocks in our kids worship! Thank you for loving on these kids and for impacting there lives for the Kingdom of God!
