Our Beliefs
Our Foundational Beliefs
1. Knowable Truth
We believe in the accuracy, truth, authority and power of the Bible as the Word of God.
2. Knowable God
We believe that God created all things, has eternally existed before all things, and is still actively involved with His creation today .
3. Uniqueness of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ to be the virgin-born Son of God who lived in flesh, died for the sins of the world, was buried, rose again, and ascended to the Father according to the Scriptures.
4. Saved by God
We believe that Jesus came into the world to save the world. All of humanity was separated from God when we rebelled against Him, but Jesus came to redeem sinners and make them children of God.
5. Goodness of God
We believe God is good and all He says is good. Because of this, we trust what He says and follow Him with our lives.
6. Indwelling Power
We believe that God sends his Spirit to indwell every believer. With God’s spirit inside us, we are empowered to live distinctive lives, experience the fruit of the Spirit, and are used by God in ways that go beyond our natural ability.
7. More Than Just Forgiveness
We believe that being forgiven is the starting line, not the finish line, for what God wants to do in our lives. God doesn’t just want to forgive us; He wants to transform us, use us, and make us more like Jesus.
What We Believe
We believe in the accuracy, truth, authority and power of the Holy Scriptures as the Word of God. The Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. It is inspired, infallible and inerrant.
II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each distinct, yet all of One essence.
I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11
We believe God the Father is infinite, perfect in love, holiness, and grace. We believe that He is all-knowing and all-powerful. We believe that He mindfully and mercifully concerns Himself with the lives of humankind, that He hears and answers our prayers, and that He offers salvation from sin and death through Jesus Christ.
Luke 10:21-22; Matt 23:9; John 3:16, 6:27; Rom 1:7; 1 Tim 1:1-2, 2:5-6; 1 Pet 1:3; Rev 1:6
Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind and thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory.
John 1:1,14, 20:28; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; I Timothy 2:5
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts as He wills to build and empower the Church. As Christians, we seek to live under His guidance and empowerment daily.

We believe that human beings were made in the image of God as male and female. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love. We believe sexuality is defined by God and that marriage is between one man and one woman.
