Christmas Celebration!
This past Sunday we celebrated Christmas with all of our Grace Hills kiddos! For the past several weeks leading up to this we have been talking about Christmas story. Sunday we summarized and reviewed our Christmas story! We hope that your children left knowing the Christmas story but also knowing
- What this means for our lives
- Why this story is important
- Christmas isn’t about us
In our elementary room we picked some volunteers to come up and tell the Christmas story in their own words. David was our volunteer he is in the 3rd grade and he told the Christmas story so beautifully. Never could I have imagined that a child would remember the details that David did. I am so thankful that at Grace Hills we have children who are excited about not only the Christmas story but the whole Gospel.
Our memory verse for this Christmas season has been Isaiah 9:6. A lot of your children have already learned this verse over the past few weeks with us. I hope that this verse can be something that you practice this Christmas season with your family and remember why and who we are celebrating.
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Isaiah 9:6
We also played lots of games, ate lots of snacks, and laughed almost the entire time! Here is a glimpse of what we did this past Sunday!
Thank you parents for allowing us to celebrate the Christmas story with your children. A HUGE thank you to all of the volunteers who helped set up and tear down, and the teachers who lead in each of our rooms! I appreciate you and could not do this without you!
Looking forward to seeing everyone next week at our candlelight service!
