Is it possible to be a faithful follower of Jesus even living in a culture where your beliefs and values are rejected and ridiculed? Absolutely! And, you can even show love, serve others, and influence people in really positive ways.
Ancient Babylon was a rather terrible place. Astrology and the occult were the basis of government and education. The land was ruled by a mad dictator who crushed surrounding cities in his rush to dominate the world. And the Babylonian culture celebrated every kind of sin – imagine the “red light district” being the whole city. Yet in the midst of such darkness, a few teenage boys managed to grow up living faithfully for God and making an enormous impact on history.
Join us throughout July as we talk about how to “thrive in Babylon.” From the examples of Daniel and his friends, we’ll cover such questions as:
- How can I live the Christian life when I’m surrounded by temptation?
- What is the best way to create positive change in the culture around me?
- How can I lead other people to find, follow, and be like Jesus?
- How can I be content in surroundings that are sometimes so uncomfortable?
Sundays at 10:00 am at the Malco Pinnacle Hills 12!
We’re gathering a community of broken people who are figuring out what it means to follow Jesus together. No matter your story, no matter your background, we want to welcome you this weekend!
