Weekend Review
This Sunday in our PRESCHOOL room we learned about a leader who helped the Israelites named Deborah. Deborah was a leaders she went first and showed everyone how to do what God wanted them to do. This week we practiced being super heroes just like Deborah was a hero to the people.
This week we pray that God would show your children how to be leaders and set an example of how to do what is right!
Practice our memory verse with your children this week
I can do – thumbs to chest
all things – spread arms out wide
through Christ – point up
who gives me strength – show muscles
Phillippians 4:13 – hold up 4 fingers
This week your preschoolers made Superhero headbands to remind them to be a Superhero and let Christ shine through them! We hope that these crafts can be a reminder throughout the week to be a strong leader in Christ!
In KIDS this week we talked about the cross and what this means for our lives! We talked through a lot of different scriptures this week and we encouraged your children to read back through these this week.
Each of us have a story(testimony) and each of our stories are different but all SO important and beautiful. We all need to be rescued through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! We want our children to practice telling their stories. Review these verses with your children this week and talk about what these mean to them.
Romans 3:23-24 “Everyone has sinned. No one measures up to God’s glory. The free gift of God’s grace makes all of us right with him. Christ paid the price to set us free.”
John 3:3 “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone the new has come!”
If your child has question about anything we would love to talk with them about it! If your child does not have a testimony we do not want to rush them but if they have question let us know we would love to discuss the cross and what a personal testimony is with them!
We did have a lot of serious conversation in KIDS this week but we also had a lot of fun to start off our morning with a variety of minute-to-win-it games.
It never fails that we have fun with our GH kids each week, they may be a little crazy and wild but we love them! As we prepare to separate our 5-6 graders to their own theater next week we will be needing to add more leaders. If you are willing to give it a try please let me know, we would love to have you!
