I’ve just returned from my trip to the Dominican Republic and Haiti, and I am overwhelmed at the spiritual and physical needs of these nations. As I drove around Port-au-Prince, Haiti in the back of a top-top, I saw first-hand the living conditions of the poorest country in the western hemisphere. You can catch my highlight reel here. All I could think was, “where do we even begin?” I’ll share a bit more on that question for a few minutes on Sunday as I introduce a new message series called Church On the Move, based on the first eight chapters of the book of Acts. Read more about the series (click here) and spread the word!
The church, when it functions the way God intended and operates in His power, is an unstoppable force making the impossible mission before us possible. We’ll talk this weekend about how God wants to do the miraculous through Grace Hills and other churches like us around the globe.
I also want to remind you to be praying about our special weekend we’re calling We Love NWA Weekend, September 8 & 9. A special website is under development and you can read about the project now by clicking here, and you can help us out by visiting the Facebook page for We Love NWA and clicking the “Like” button.
The mission before us seems impossible, but the Bible is clear that “with God, nothing is impossible.”
See you at the movies… for church! Rogers Malco Town Cinema (by Belk) at 10:00 am on Sunday! And bring somebody with you!!
